Area of interest: Social good/Green Design, Information Design, UX, illustration.
Future/ideal work: Working at a graphic design firm that takes a lot of non-profit clients, maybe later moving into Industrial or Product Design.
Why design? I was good at 2d art, but I wanted my work to actively serve a greater purpose—I found that the problem-solving nature of graphic design was a good combination of both.
Goals in 5 years: Graduate in May, go on a big trip somewhere (New Zealand?), get a job at a firm that specializes in non-profit clients, begin to pay off debt, get a bunch of plants, learn to cook… make friends…
Inspirations: Honestly, I usually pull inspiration from the work of the people around me, my teachers, my colleagues, my beliefs, and what comes up in my pinterest feed.
Hobbies: Hiking, biking, making artsy things with my hands, playing music, and watching anime with my younger sister.
Favourite Color: Periwinkle
Favourite Junk Food: Campfire Smore's
You’re a new addition to a crayon box. What color would you be and why? I think I would be yellow, because it could be bright and warm, or anxious and overwhelming.
Design items u cannot live without: Lately, I’ve been loving the pencil tool and pathfinder tool, and I love using a drawing tablet. I like to work next to a glass of wine or tea, and a small bowl of chocolate chips.
